I went over board with the close shaves for about a week, like 3 to 4 passes with my slant. what a nut, right. Man, I never knew what the word bite meant. This morning I used my good old gillette tech which I havent used in years. Nice and gentle and I feel like Im healing. I do not have cuts, just bad burn. So Ill never put down a mild shave razor again. I really need it.

But, if you're going to use any DE for THAT, the Tech is probably the safest choice...or a Lady Gillette.

yes, they're humble and a bit blue collar....but they're also incredibly maneuverable, mild and damn near unbreakable. they're also inexpensive.

my personal favs are the fat-handled tech and the older ball-handled tech with the diamond etched head. fantastic..

+1 on the ball end techs at least. One of my favorite razors due to it's mild nature along with my SS flair tip and dare I say... Feather Popular, for the same reasons. But, I would say the Tech is a happy medium between the two. Feather popular on the mildest side of course.
