What's new

TGN question?

SO, I'm new to DE shaving in general, and have acquired a few nice badger knots (thater 23mm, shavemac 23mm, and simpsons duke 3) and i was thinking about taking my old AOS pure badger (its hammered) and replacing it with a 26mm TGN knot? so my questions are...

1. is it worth saving my AOS black handle?

2. whats your opinion on TGN knots in general?

thanks for the input?

1. If you like the handle shape and color, then yes.
2. For the money, TGN bulb in finest is the best knot out there.

You will need to purchase a knot slightly smaller than your opening or it will not fit.

Yup. Vanessa at TGN just added an extra synth knot to my order as a gift. The TGN Finest is great value. I haven't tried the silvertip grade A yet but there are two on my shelf waiting to be installed and another on the way. Your only other choices are Whipped dog about which we've heard differing reports or Shavemac whose knots are possibly superior but at two or three times the price.

Excellent Knots from TGN, I contacted Anthony & Vanessa prior too me buying the knot and asked for any information with regards to fitting a new knot.

Excellent advise from Anthony, I ordered this from the U.K took less than 10 day's to arrive. Beautiful quality finest badger two band, plenty of backbone but not to stiff excellent flow through. And lovely soft white tips.

I am so pleased with this purchase, placed another order for a further knot replacement I need to do.
