Tech Shave

I have two Techs. A Fat Handle, and a 1964 Ball-end. Both are reliable shavers.

I also ran across a guy who designed a 3D printed bottom plate for the Fat Handles so now I can turn it into an OC when I'd like. I used it today with a vintage Wilkinson Sword London Bridge and had a lovely shave.

My mom gave me one of these, it was either my grandfather’s or my uncle’s. Since I told her I’m into wet shaving she has been on the lookout for me but being new still I haven’t tried it. Wasn’t sure if I would hack myself up since it’s a good bit smaller than I’ve been using. Nice to hear it’s a good razor though.

I have to say: I am really enjoying this Tech setup. Postwar Tech with no date codes and a RazoRock UFO handle. It's such an easy shave, but much more efficient than I was expecting given previous shaves with Techs. I Have only tried it with Perma-Sharps so far, but will try some of my other favorite blades in the coming days.

Postwar techs are simply amazing.

Sure they’re mild, but they’re really only “too” mild for a small minority.

Once you get past that they’re cheap, forgiving and efficient.

I just got this one which is the best example I’ve acquired for an etched cap post war for just under $25 (it also came with a pretty good aristocrat case). It’s late poor lighting.
