Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop - Any Opinions on This?

So I'm wearing Hammam Bouquet today by the famous Penhaligon's, and although I think it's a good scent, its rose is falling short for me. It's a nice rose certainly, but seems to lack . . . focus, or maybe luster . . . yeah, it's lackluster. That's the only way I can describe it. Seems to be a little synthetic to me.

I'm really looking for a rose soliflore that isn't expensive but does what rose lovers hope to get from their rose soliflores - smells like a rose! I'm reading some good things about Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop. I know it's marketed as a woman's frag, but that doesn't bother me.

Anyone know anything about this? Does it render tea roses well? It's like $15 at Marshalls, but a big bottle, so I don't want to jump the gun here.

opinions needed!

I do not know Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop, but if you are going for light and bright and inexpensive you might this one, if you can find it. I have always liked it. It does not have a lot of trenacity. You can order on Amazon.

Pen's "Elisabethan Rose" and C&S "Rose" are pretty much tea rose to me, but they are not inexepensive, of course.
I do not think I have every had it, but SCS "Savory Rose" is pretty much as tea rose as I recall what I have read about it.

Christopher Brosius's Tea Rose Absolute smells great. It's not necessarily "cheap," but it's the Real Deal, it's oil-based & it lasts a LONG time. All you'd need to buy is the smallest size, 2ml. A little dab'll do ya. :thumbup1:
