I recently bought this soap in the bowl along with trumpers sandalwood soap. What a great shave. Great scent, creamy lather, leaves skin feeling great. I haven't tried the trumpers yet, but I am very impressed with this soap. I have the taylors shave stick which I use mostly for traveling and is great as well. I really think this is an underated soap, taylors creams get plenty of coverage and deserve it but not so much the soap. I can't wait to try the trumpers now, but at almost twice the price I hope it performs well.

Both soaps are really great soaps. With the Taylors , you get a slightly larger soap round. I use Taylors soap most of the time. Once a week or so I will use one of their creams.
I have not used Taylor's nor Trumper's sandlewood, but have used Trumper's Rose and Taylor's Lavender. If the sandlewood performs like the others, then both are good choices. I think GFT is a little better product, in my experience, but if cost is a factor then Taylor's is an excellent choice.
