Tarnish on DE

Can someone give me a clue how to get the buildup & tarnish off my old Schick Krona. I have tried hot water & q-tips, just thinking it was just soap residue. I didn't want to try any chemicals before asking the forum.

I dug it out for the kid to try, and he was the eagle-eye that saw this mess inside (and if I can get the doors cleaner) but I hard no idea that the inside looked this cruddy.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

old toothbrush and toothpaste with flouride should work just fine...

Scrubbing Bubbles or most any bathroom cleaner as long as it doesn't contain bleach.

You've got the 2 methods that most guys use right above. If you'd like to shine it up after it's clean, a bit of Maas or Flitz polish and a microfiber cloth will work wonders.
