T&H 1805 Just Came In....

can't wait to start using it....now if only my brush and Futur would get here....stuff smells so good! Anybody else use T&H products? Which scent is your favorite?

Right now I only have Grafton but they are all top shelf in my book sent and performance wise.

I have the 1805 also, cream and after shave...it's probably my favorite scent of all my creams. I went through a T&H cream sampler before purchasing my first tub of 1805, they all perform very well for me, but I didn't like the scent of lavender or the west indian limes. That's just a personal preference thing though, you might like them both. You can order the cream/asb sampler right from T&H for like $8.50 with B&B discount code.

JohnMarston,

I'm a big fan of the T&H products and kind of fell into them several years before finding this site and starting to use DE razors. Was looking for something compatible with my sensitive skin. Turns out to have been a great choice even in retrospect, unlike my choice of brush at the time.

I've been using the T&H Ultimate Comfort Shave cream and ASB and can heartily recommend them if you want something easy on the skin with minimal to no scent. Their pre-shave oil is the only one I've not heard disparaged by anyone else on the board and I've used it for years. It's pricy for a very little bit, but the small bottle lasts me, on average, 4-6 months. Only use it on one of the passes (either the first or second) rather than on all of them.

The T&H ASB Sandalwood is also great and one of my favorite sandalwood scents. Pretty decent moisturizing properties and you get about 3-5 hours out of the scent. Lately I've been using my newly acquired Pen's BB and Floris Santal, but am sure I'll wander back to it. There was a week or two there where I was thinking about getting another since I'm about 2/3rds down on the current bottle and it was out of stock nearly everywhere. Proof of my affection for it is that I panicked a little and almost pulled the trigger on a couple of bottles, but a quick perusal of my other recent paypal purchases put that to a stop.

Finally, I've just started using the 1805 in my travel kit and got back from three days on the road. The scent is fantastic, but lathering and cushioning I thought was inferior to the Ultimate Comfort. I was a tad disappointed at first, but by the third day came to suspect I wasn't using enough product. Was also hampered by an inferior brush. More research is required.

You can't go wrong with the T&H.

You are a lucky dog! The T&H 1805 was a favorite of mine in the sampler pack.

I have a tub of the Rose now (gorgeous stuff) and after I work down my current inventory backlog (substantial), I will likely pick up a couple of tubes of 1805 and Grafton. Maybe Trafalgar, too.

I just finished a tub of Grafton the other day. It is really nice cream. After using the whole tub - much of it continuously over the past 6 weeks - I no longer like the scent of Grafton as much as I did.

I own both their sandalwood and 1805 creams and ASBs. The sandalwood is my 3rd favorite cream/soap out of everything. It smells nothing like sandalwood(I have QCS Mysore sandalwood as reference) but I just find it to die for. I couldn't decide at the time whether I preferred the sandalwood or 1805 the most, so I got both:biggrin1:. The 1805 is great but a bit sweeter in contrast to the sandalwood's aquatic notes.

The scents last for hours, they lather very easily, and they are as slick as anything I have tried.

The 1805 is a favorite. After trying the sampler, I plan on getting the Trafalgar as well. The west indies lime however was interesting. I didn't like the shave cream scent, but really liked the aftershave balm. They smelled nothing alike in my sample. The grafton while not unpleasant was not for me.

I love the 1805 scent and I'm awaiting for the triple-milled shaving soap to arrive.

I just tried my sample of Ultimate Comfort shave cream today. I thought it lathered amazingly well, better than the others, but I didn't find it to offer the slick and smooth glide that I am used to with the other flavors.
