Superspeed on a Submarine, How can I keep my razor safe while at sea?

One problem i have run into is keeping my DE razor silent in my locker and safely away from other items as to not damage the blade or dirty it. usually i just wrap my razor in a hand towel before stuffing it in my buggery box but i was wondering if there is a better way? Is there a box that fits a super speed nicely? what are some things people here use as a travel shave kit? Like what sort of bag etc? It is important that everything in my locker not move. When the submarine moves and things rattle in someones locker it is a noise short and will attract some angry attention I do not need. I appreciate your feedback.

but now my question with this leather case is, Can you leave the blade in without it being rubbed by the leather?

For certain. That case was intended for travel in which the razor would get knocked around inside a suitcase. I have another razor case that is built pretty much the same way, and I have carried a Super Speed in it, so I can tell you that the leather makes contact with the safety bar and not the blade itself.

Simple enough solution would be a sturdy box. Cut a piece of foam to fit inside. Then cut the razor shape into the foam. This is how the feather de razor comes as well as the tradere razor. (I'm sure I spelled that wrong)

Ha, back to the days of sound shorts, haha! I was on the USS James Madison (SSBN 627)--I was a Nuc, so had lots of 'extra' space to store stuff.

I'd definitely put it in a small container that wouldn't damage it. Soap container? That way, you can put oter 'stuff' around it (small samples of shaving cream, foam, etc.) You could also pack it with foam used in toolboxes.

Go talk to the MMs on board--they may be able to plastisol the handle for you as well. At least you'd know who it belongs to!

And, FYI, even though you are worried about sond shorts, remember--the decks are 'floating' and sound isolated (because of hull compression/expansion), and you should put foam or something in your locker 'floor' and your drop pan of your bed, eh? We came up with a million creative ways to store stuff quietly.

Few people here will be aware of the space and noise constraints on a boat--it sure is a different world, isn't it?

Be safe--and make sure that your number of surfaces is equal to your dives as quickly as possible!

Cut a piece out of an old t-shirt and wrap it in that. I always carry mine that way, and it's cheap.

A plastic bar soap container that you use for camping/backpacking with some foam inserts. This would be the cheapskate route of course.
