So I got my superspeed the other day and I was pretty stoked. Ive herd alot of things about it so I figured i'd put my two cents worth in here goes. Im new to de shaving and i think that this razor lives up to its name. It gives a really close shave and i was just amazed and i would recommend it to anyone who is just starting out de shaving or anyone in general. its gonna be my go to razor from now on.

I have a '47 SS that I have been shaving with and I love it. Of course I haven't shaved with any other DE razors so take that with a grain of salt.

i got the 1964 ss flaretip j4 model
I just picked up a '57 blue tip model for my stepson to get him started. He has a very light beard so it should work just fine for him.

i'd swear by the ss i will say this if you have big hands its a little tricky at first
I just gave one away to a friend as a birthday present. I had paid just $10 including shipping on ebay for it. I decided to replace it tonight and won another auction but this time I had to pay $19 including shipping. It was at the limits of what I would pay for a SS but I didn't want to spend days trying to find one cheaper.

Another thumb up for Super Speeds - Flare Tip Rocket is my favourite vintage razor.
I have a '57 that was PIF'd to me and it's what I use every day. I just got one from my birth year from ebay also!
I was looking at a birth year SS too, unfortunately, I need to lay low for a while. The wife is starting to wonder at the vast number of razors I have been acquiring lately.

Love my '55 SS.
I like the 40's style the best. Classic looking with just a little more bite.
I absolutely love my '58 SS. It's mild enough that I can pretty much do whatever with it without razorburn or knicks, but yet it still delivers a fantastic shave. And you can't beat those TTO Silo doors!
