Superlather options

Hi,
I understand that a superlather is a mix of cream and soap (any could contain glycerin) to create a spectacular lather and improve the shaving results.
Let's go a bit beyond. Some people adds pure glycerin to the mix.
My questions are:
1.- Can a pure glycerin free superlather be considered as a real superlather? With this I am referring to the pure glycerin as an ingredient itself, not to the one included in the soap or cream.
2.- Can we sap the pure glycerin for another sort of oil or ingredient with the same effect? I commonly use pure jojoba oil as a pre and aftershave with great results. What about a combo of crem, soap and jojoba oil to make a superlather?
Please, experiences and concerns are welcome.
Regards from Spain.

I don't believe "superlather" relates to method shaving, other than being a mixture of products to produce lather. I'd suggest you email Charles Roberts at enchanteonline ......he can address your question.

Thanks for your help and kindness.

I think he's interested in some type of mixed-product lather. I haven't a clue as to how to respond.

Is your question related to Method Shaving? Sound more like a "shaving methods" question.

Dear Mars,
I beg your pardon. I was rude with my answer due to my ignorance. As you finally concluded, I was asking about a shaving method instead of the Method Shaving.
I logged in the wrong forums.
Sorry and thanks.

To most members here a Superlather is simply a glycerin based soap with shaving cream mix . I think glycerin based soap is used because it can provide a good quantity of soap lather. The goal of Superlather is a slick , rich , voluminous bowl of lather.

My opinion is the term Superlather is used casually by shavers not precisely, therefore I think you can use a nonglycerin based soap and cream and still label it Superlather. I think you can have your own soap, cream, oil mixture of Superlather and still label it as such. I think most members here have their own version of Superlather and many of them have shared their recipes to the profit of us all.

If you want to call a nonglycerin based soap, oil and cream Superlather no one will object, it will just be Cristobal's version.

IMO, superlather = cream + soap. Your choice of both. I try to coordinate product characteristics and scents.
