Sunflower soap?

With all the floral scented shave soap out there, I'm shocked there does not seem to be any Sunflower scented soaps. Has anyone ever seen one? Or even a shaving cream?

I'v loved the scent ever since that perfume was so popular in the 90's. I wouldn't ever wear it as a scent, but for a shave I enjoy it.

What does a sunflower smell like? I don't think I have any idea.

They smell sweet and light. I think Wallmart has the perfume, and it always has a scratch and sniff on it.

Is there sunflower essential oil available? I can only find the seed oil (would not work well to scent a product). I half suspect "sunflower" scented products are derived from other flowers but are marketed as sunflowers for visual marketing purposes.


The seed oil itself would work fine as a supplementary oil to increase the moisturizing qualities of a soap (for soapmaking it is quite similar to Olive oil). Though if I recall correctly it is fairly expensive (more so than Olive Pomice Oil).

I have no idea about the essential oil. Though I did find a artisan on Etsy (Man in the Moon Herbs) who will custom make a batch for me. Its a good deal 3 bars for $10. Thats the best thing about the wet shave thing, is that if you can picture it in your head, someone out there will put it together for you.

Exactly, I found lots and lots of products made with sunflower oil, but I had to ask to find a soap with the scent. When I first put it into Google my jaw dropped that there were hundreds of hits. I was exited until I actually read them and saw that it was as an ingredient not a scent.
