I just used Strop Shoppe's new non-tallow Baker St. soap made with shea and cocoa butter for my shave tonight. I am impressed, this soap loaded quickly on my boar brush, after 20 second load time I had enough soap for three passes.
The soap created a great lather easily and my razor glided across my face with ease. The lather create a great protective cushion like my AOS cream's but was also slick like my favorite tallow soap (Mike's Natural).
I have hard water and can be a pain to create a good lather but with this soap it was no problem. The shea butter also left my face feeling great and the scent was very nice.
Strop Shoppe makes a great soap and this soap is now added to my one of my top three soaps (La Toja and Mike's Natural being the other two). Sorry to say but my MWF will soon be getting PIF.
