I've had the razor just a few days and had a couple of shaves. And this thing keeps repeating - every time I'm shaving I feel the shave is really mild and smooth, but after the shave my face burns a bit, more than I'd like... I never had this with any other razor. Why could this be?

Same experience here. I did not use it long enough to come to a conclusion.
I have the OSS never felt that with comb side
Check the outer edge of the last tooth for a slight burr or rough edge. Magnification helps. I smoothed mine just a little and made a big difference. May not feel like much to the fingertip, but the face will feel it. Great razor.
My first two shaves I had a lot of irritation, but none since.
I shaved with mine this morning. It is an aggressive enough razor that it will burn you if you don't have a smooth blade you can trust. If your blade was not damaged, you might want to keep searching for a smoother blade.
