Hello Gents.. I normally post on DE's and I am gonna admit that I have no clue about Straights. However, I picked one up today and from what I can tell it's an "H-Boker" and it kinda looks like it's from the 20's or 30's. I am gonna post some pics. Could you tell me how much does one of these str8's go for? The blade itself says "The King" its very faded gold lettering which after polishing kinda came off but you can kinda make it out still. Is it a hallow point and what size is it? 5/8 etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Thanks tominabox1.. How does one tell the measurement of this blade is it a 5/8 or some other number? Is it a hallowground? My golden etch kinda rubbed out from polishing.
Simple, Get a ruler, place it underneath the razor, from spine to edge, and see how many inches it is, Thus you get your razor's 'weight'
is it a Hollow Ground Razor? easy again to answer, are the sides of the blade perfectly straight from the spine to the edge? if not, you have a hollow ground razor. The grind profile is more tricky, so you may not know just by quick perusal if it's a full hollow, quarter grind, half grind, etc. though there are charts about that show the difference
