do I need 5 razors...NO...but I have the ADs bad...I am looking at old brushes to retore and I just got a large order from Ogallala....

Well I havn't bought any double rings, or bulldogs...so maybe I havent slipped to far down the slope...

Now if I could just find my birth year in a fat boy, a super speed, and a tech....

It always seems like RAD is the first of the ADs to kick in, doesn't it? I went from RAD to SCAD to B(lade)AD to ASAD to SSAD to C(ologne)AD, and now I'm just GLAD...because I have WAY too much product to get through, and I survived (most) of the ADs intact...

We joke a lot here about RAD, but as long as it really is under some kind of control, and isn't disrupting your life, there are worse things to do with your money. I never would have believed in January 09 how many razors I would have in January 10, but it's been fun. At some point, we all do need to slow down a bit.

I'm just starting out at this caper. I thought when I started reading this site that you lot were all nuts!

Now I'm watching umpteen ebay auctions, already up to 3 soaps, 2 AS balms, sample pack of blades (and a bunch of Feathers, my favorite!), and 2 razors (one new merkur, one was my dad's).

Want to get an adjustable to try out, then I'm going to have to ease off... It's not too hard a sell for SWMBO, because she likes the fact that I'm shaving every day (used to be every 2nd day, and never on weekends), and my skin is getting better.

I guess I'm a piker with only 6 in 3 months, well 7 when my Chatsworth Barley ships. I initially wanted them all too, but finally stopped looking at ebay and BST as it was driving me nuts. Believe it or not I know a guy whose been shaving with a Merkur HD and Feathers for over a year. It's the first and only razor and blades he bought. I don't know how he does it.

He's not registered with B&B, obviously, so he's not likely to corrupt the rest of us. He said he switched from cartridge razors to save money, but he actually meant it. Imagine that. I even offered him use of my slim, fat boy or SS to entice him but he wasn't interested. I did buy him a Rooney brush for Christmas to replace his cheapo brush. Well, truth be told, buying one for him was an excuse to also buy one for me without SWMBO noticing.

Perhaps you need to inform him of the coming Shavepocalypse? Or how increasing inflation rates will mean buying razors, blades, and creams is a GOOD investment.

I went to the flea market yesterday....they had some beat up Techs, and some Gems and a couple of Stars...but I am also thinking I want to re-finish some brushes, so that is what I was looking for too...not that I wouldn't have bought a razor...just didn't see anything that fired me up. So how many Techs does one guy need?

Its fun to look...and cheaper than my other two sicknesses...guns and watches...
