Stoli Elit?

Yesterday, I picked up a bottle of Stoli Elit to have with my Polish father-in-law to be over the holidays. He spent several years in Moscow in the 80s in the foreign trade business, and although he doesn't drink much vodka anymore, I think having a couple of nips of this with him during his visit to the States with us will be fun.

I have read some pretty remarkable reviews of this ultra premium vodka on the 'net. This is one expensive bottle of vodka-- even compared to the likes of Grey Goose, Chopin, and Belvedere.

I haven't opened it yet... but anyone out there familiar with it and have any thoughts?

Cool gesture, although "ultra-premium" vodkas are pretty much just marketing ploys.

I've done blind taste tests where "Russian Prince" in a plastic bottle consistently outranked Grey Goose and Belvedere.

If you can tell the difference, enjoy it ;-)

I'm not much of a vodka drinker myself, but a clear +1 on the gesture.

That's a great looking bottle and it'll definitely say, "this is a special event" to your father in law. Enjoy and Na Zdrowie!
