- How long does a green 5.8oz tub last?

The reason I ask is that it seems they have soaps that are seasonal.

I really like Arkadia but I don’t know if it will be available when I run out?

- Is Arkadia available year round?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure Arkadia is a year round offering. If you're that concerned about running out you can purchase a refill puck for when your tub runs out. The refills are even cheaper. How long does the 6 oz last? That all depends on how often and how much you use. I'd say you could get somewhere around 80 shaves from that tub if you're not wasteful.

Tubs last a loooong time. Stirling lists their standard line and what is seasonal here, Arkadia is standard:

Looks like I have 3-6 month window. That’s good to know. I tend to buy more than I need and the pucks pile up over time.

For me a tub will last much closer to 180 than 80.
180 is a bit much. There's 170-ish grams of soap which means one would be using less than a gram of soap per shave to reach that number. Not staying it's impossible but lathers using <1g of product wouldn't be too enjoyable for me, anyway.

Yes 180 would be a stretch, but I do think 150 is quite possible. I admit though that I am a bit stingy with my soap and consider any lather washed down the drain that wasn't on my face first a waste. I also have very good water here and that helps a lot. I personally think that many here use too much soap chasing a perfect lather.

Same here. I use reverse osmosis water to make my lather so I get super creamy, rich lather from <1g of soap, enough for full 4 passes.

I like what I’m reading. If I get 4 months out of their green jar, I will be thrilled.

It also looks like everyone is dialed in to their usage. Well done.

I have gotten on average of 30-35 shaves from the 1oz samples which would equate to roughly 180+ shaves from a 5.8oz tub. I do have 5 tubs I'm working on at the moment that were all perchased at least 2yrs ago and I primarily use Stirling almost exclusively. My 1 other tub is an Ethos soap. I have noticed that depending on soap / brush the ratio goes up or down depending on the combo also... I have been working specifically on 3 Glacials since July 2022 and I'd estimate 1 at about 40 shaves left, 1 at 60-70 shaves left, and 1 at probably 100 shaves left. I have recently started to work on 1 tub at a time now and won't restock until they are gone.

I am a Stirling soap user, and I can tell you right now, Stirling has the highest value per ounce of soap quantity, that you can get right now. If you were to really limit yourself to only 1 gram of soap, by loading the brush from the puck, ( Good luck measuring that BTW ) Stirling soap would last you forever, literally years!

For me however, I find bowl lathering far easier, to get the creamy yogurt consistency that I am looking for. So I typically don't load from the brush from the puck, instead I scoop up a teaspoon of soap, and put that in my lather bowl, to work up a lather. Doing it the way that I am, I know that I am most likely using more then 1 gram of soap, but its the luxury of delicious lather that my skin seeks, and it shall have it!

Additionally, if you do what I do, and stock up on many different scent flavors, before you know it, you will have a dozen soaps or more. Once you have done that, you will insure to make your soaps last you years, because you are obviously going to use them up evenly, not focus on one at a time. So in other words, no need to fret over how long they will last, because you know they are gonna last freaking forever.

There are other artisans that sell in much lower quantities for even much higher level of prices. One of the reasons why I love Stirling, is because they are fair over there, price per quantity of soap provided, IMHO, is spot on! Here is my Stirling soap collection as it is today, with just 1-container of SV soap at the top of the mountain.

A teaspoon full? That's a lot of soap!
