I have been extolling the virtues of using a shave stick with soaps and cream over on the SSB (Shave Stick Brotherhood) for a while but today's shave might mark a turning point in this odd endeavor.

Valobra shave stick on the face, P.160 loaded into the brush and I face lathered more lather than I have ever seen in one place at one time before

I tried this once with Mike's Barbershop and the Palmolive stick. The lather was amazing, but something in Mike's Barbershop fragrance seems to go a little off when combined with other things.

I would have had to take a pic of my face as that was where all of it was. Didn't want to damage anybody's computer monitor so.....

I thought about doing something similar this evening, but decided against it as tonight's shave was my first go with the Palmolive stick. Maybe I'll give a try tomorrow night.

A much loved Italian croap that is, unfortunately, long gone. Think Cella, but with a more bitter almond scent and even better performance (IMHO).

Ah, P.160, devine lather material for sure....

Such a shame that it went out of production but I still am sitting on the best part of my 1kg brick of Duro! I too prefer it over Cella for both scent and performance, it is really, really nice.

I don't think he is selling the big blocks any longer, just the tubs. You would have to contact him directly and ask.

i got my Cella (red tub) Saturday and have used it twice, i'm not going to stop using it until i master the lather. It's the best smelling soap i've had so far. I kinda want the P160 just because it's no longer being produced, steroids is just a plus!

Its been overpriced since it was discontinued, even the vendor found it necessary to gouge folks, IMO

This is actually how I was going to describe it And yes the outrageous price for the brick on IB is a joke, but last time I checked Joe was still offering portions cut from the brick in tubs. Definitely worth picking up.
