STG to stop making 3 Nuns and Capstan

I got this email from Daniel at Synjeco this morning.

Dear Pipesmoker Friend,

Another tobacco will go out from the market: Scandinavian Tobacco confirmed us, that they definitely stop production of Capstan (Blue and Yellow) and Three Nuns.
We do still have in Stock, but we will not be available to refill again our warehouse with this product.

This sucks because I do like the 3 Nuns and Capstan Blue but I've got a couple tins put away for a rainy day. However I am wondering if there is a bright side to this and that is that maybe Imperial Tobacco is going with another manufacturer and if maybe, just maybe it will someday see distribution in the US. Smoking pipes has a big Imperial Tobacco announcement today. It looks like my conjecture may come true, I'm glad I didn't place the order from Switzerland.

I really hope that another producer buys the rights and begins production. I really dislike that all the good English, Oriental, and VA/Perique blends are slowly but surely going away but things like Rum Maple never die...

I was also relieved to hear that. Definitely one of my top three tobacco's, especially now summer is finally kicking in over here.
Haven't had the MacBaren version myself, but since Arno's taste buds are way better than mine I trust it'll be fine.

I have an 1 opened and 1 unopened tin of the STG productions of both Capstan and 3 Nuns so I look forward to doing my own comparisons.
