Not really sure if this is a Star Razor or a frankenrazor of sorts. I do love the shave I get from it with a feather or astra sp blade in it though. Just curious about the razor, any info would be greatly appreciated.

That's a Star handle and head. Whether it's the original handle is hard to say, since that one is less common. That particular handle was also used on their single edge razors.
Yes, that is a original handle. Very mild shavers. hers is a older one
And Single edge type
They are designed to look identical, but it cannot be the handle from a single edge. Handles don't switch genders as easily as people.
I found your razor's brother at an antiques show. I too was a little baffled by the handle, as I had always seen the Star razors with the round knurled handle. For looking like new and only 2 bucks... I couldn't pass it up.

Ya i was a little bit confused because I've only seen this handle on the SE....and the star de's I've seen has the round knurled handle. Thanks for the info, anyone have an idea on the dating?
Your are right, each handle fits each razor accordingly. They are sized for each other.
This type looks like a 1940's to 60's
Beyond that, the SE handles are male. The DE handles are female.
