I have an E&J stainless finish brush where the finish is peeling off. Is there anything I can do to restore or rrefinish this brush??

the finish is starting to peel around the knot . I really like this brush , so I would like to do something to prevent further peeling . I wonder what material is under the chrome finish.
If it were me, I'd probably give the area around the knot a coating of clear nail polish to protect the chrome that's left and keep it from flaking off.
Since the knot is lower quality you could have it replated and have a better knot installed.

Funny you said that, I just ordered 2 knots today from the nib for restorations I'm doing.
I thought about getting another for this brush. It's not very dense and very floppy. Like lathering with limp noodles. However it does pick up creams nicely and holds lather well.
I think for now I will try the nail polish.
