What's new

SSomebody SStop me.

Been DE shaving since Aug 09. I have a couple of creams that get no love, slow to start, but currently...

Tabac + back up puck (Look, only refills were local, and you NEED a jar...)
Proraso tub
Conk Amber
L'Occitane Cade (Was just curious and wandered in...)
T&H Luxury SS on the way (with a free extra one thrown in!) (Ordered because I didn't know I was going to wander in to L'Occi)

End the madness. How long is this stuff going to last? That's the only thing that will knock some sense in me. I have 3 kids, they need meals and clothes and... other things that I can't think of right now.

I'm getting nervous; 3 months in with Tabac and it's probably the only thing that will be left intact (apart from the Roaches) post-Armageddon - just grey dust and millions of Tabac pucks.

Has anyone got to the bottom of a puck of this stuff?

How did you like the Cade? My girlfriend likes the shampoo and conditioner from L'Occitane, and I'm on the curious side about it.

I just bought a puck of Cade with the bowl, and it has instantly put itself among my favorites. I love the scent, and the lather is rich, creamy, and slick. It is proof in my mind that a truly great soap can be made without tallow.

Yes I did. I then placed a refill puck in the container and continued shaving. It was rather uneventful, yet satisfying.
I'm disappointed; no party, announcement in the local paper? :biggrin1:

How long did it take though?

Bill, sorry my nose is useless, but FWIW I liked everything I sniffed in the store, so you'll probably like Cade. It works well, very easy to lather; I don't think it's as good as Tabac for performance, but there's not a great deal in it.

The scent is unlikely to polarise as Tabac does though, Cade is subtle but classy. I don't find any soap scents linger though.

I read one thread (somewhere?!?!) that people tend to use them as bath soaps after a while of using them as shaving soaps :w00t:

On another point (to the original poster) - I think you'll find that we're all in the same boat!!

Trumper's Rose
Creed Original Vetiver
Monsavon
Tabac (possibly another on way with bowl!)
Sir Irisch Moos stick
Palmolive Shave Stick

...and don't even get me started on the colognes!
