Spray Nine

Gents,

Thought I'd pass along this as an option for a pretty good, heavy duty cleaner/disinfectant - Spray Nine. I just picked some up at my local Ace Hardware and I tell you, it's user friendly and seems to kill just about everything under the sun - and it cleans well too. Just spray it on, leave it set for ~45 secs (scrubbing, if necessary, with a toothbrush) and rinse. Viola. Here's a link to the product, MSDS, etc. Works great on paint - I used it on my red Tip and it didn't affect the finish at all. All in all, a nice little product - quick and effective. Oh, and it's about 6 bucks a bottle (which, by the look of it, should last quite a while).

Looks like good stuff. I'd like to pick some up... need to find a place locally that sells it. Thanks for the heads-up.

I used to work for a distributor that carried the Spray 9 product.

A great degreaser and cleaner . . . but I don't recall it having the disinfecting and sanitizing ingredients that Scrubbing Bubbles has.

Spray Nine is supposed to kill everything. I used to work for a company who issued it to us and we went through it like it was nothing.

Exactly. This stuff is potent - I'd venture to say it's probably a bit more heavy duty than Scrubbing Bubbles or even Barbicide. Of course, this could be a "who's stronger Superman or the Hulk" question, but I like that you can squirt Spray 9 directly on your razor, or soak it, or both if you want - and it's quick. No foolin' around here. Has a kill time of 30 seconds for HIV-1, influenza A, Hep B & C, and other viruses; kills salmonella, E. coli, staph, and other nasties in 45 seconds, just to name a few. Makes me feel better about my disinfecting routine, anyway, and that's what counts in the end.

Just so happens SWMBO asked me to go pick up an outdoor plant hanger...looks like I'll just have to stumble across this new "Spray 9" product by some crazy random happenstance and buy it on a 'whim'. lol, looks like it's worth a shot to try, not only for razors but for other cleaning purposes as well.

I've been using Spray Nine for years on everything else, but I never thought of using it on razors.
By the way, I use it for stains on my clothing before I throw them in the washing machine. It works great on grease stains.
oh, and it cleans up plastic lawn furniture nice.
