Spirits with Lift to Enliven

In my experience most beers (Heineken, Coronas, Grolsch, Miller, Bass Ale, Newcastle), all tequilas (on rocks or sip), Cointreau liqueur, and most red wines make me happy and giddy.

Whiskey and Scotch have only a numbing effect but the mind remains sharp.

Gin and Vodka (on the rocks) are somewhere in the middle.

Am I the only one weirdo like this? I'm interested in how different spirits affect...well the spirit. Share your experiences please.

BTW: Right now I am finishing a bit of Chimayo tequila. A bit too spicy for me.

No matter what you are drinking, alcohol is ethanol, which is C2H5OH. You need to look at the circumstances when you are consuming the different types of drinks, ie: what you are mixing with the alcohol, the amount of food in your stomach, the volume you consume, the time of day, your psychological mood, did you consume it straight, with caffeine, with carbonation, were you depressed, or upbeat during the consumption, ect, ect.

That makes sense! When I drink tequila, beer, wine I'm usually in a fun environment.
When I drink scotch I'm usually reading or relaxing.
Thanks for the info Sal.
