Speick advice?

I'm going to start face lathering as soon as my Speick stick and Duke 2 get here. So far, I've noted the advice to soak the tip of the stick in water (hot?) while showering to soften it up a bit before applying. Any other advice? I would especially be interested in hearing how people travel with their Speick stick. I really don't feel like grating it up and packing it into a tub or a twist tube. Maybe I'll just pat it dry with a paper towel and put it in a ziplock bag?

Thanks in advance,

Mag

Speick is a wonderful soap and in stick form it is perfect as a travel companion. My only wish is that they would also produce it as a puck for use at home.

I don't find any need to soak the tip of the stick for that long, just keep wetting it as you apply it to your face and you should get plenty of product. As far as packing your stick is concerned, I usually just dry it on a towel and toss it in the kit; others use a 35mm film tin or keep the original box that the soap stick arrived in.

Enjoy!

I just grated it up and commandeered one of the small glass bowls with matching plastic lid from the bosses kitchen and there you have it. I take it everywhere. No drips no sticky... ahh sticks (sorry bout that).

Try it, you just might like it? She purchased the glass bowls from the big red target store (wink, wink) and she said it's a 4 pack and they run about $5 with lids. They are compaired to Pyrex glass. Very sturdy and affordable.

Ok, update... I now took all 4, grated, and placed my favorite pucks in them.

Have fun with this one!

Fridays are Fishtastic!
I just keep it wet with hot water, no soaking. Give the stick form a good try before you resort to pucking it.

+1

Except I use a left over pill bottle of the right size to store it. If you don't have one of the right size, go to any pharmacy and you should be able to get one of the right size. At most, you'll have to pay maybe 50 cents for it. Speick is great!
