speedball or brause?

Hi, I've been wanting to get into calligraphy. I got a set of calligraphy markers and a sketch pad to try out and see if it's something I'd want to do. I been enjoying it and would love to get some nibs and ink to write letters and such with.

I was thinking of going for a speedball calligraphy set, but saw some reviewers who said they were not very good quality. Heard better things about brause and although it's a little more expensive, it's still in my price range.

Do you guys feel like there is much of a difference between brause and speedball nibs?

Also, I was planning on getting 2 nib holders, a bunch of nibs (~10), pen cleaner, a black india ink (noodler's heart of darkness), and a set of colored inks (colorful prose ink set by authentic models). Is there anything I'm forgetting or do you have a recommendation for something I should switch out for?

Thanks!

I'd go with brause.... but that's after trying both myself and what works for me

If you can get a broad range of nibs to try out, they are usually cheap

Then you'll know yourself

Haha I know you guys do. I really liked the hand-written thread, but I don't have a camera, so once I write something good I'll borrow one :)

Thank you for the suggestions, I think I will go with brause nibs. Is 2 nib holders enough?

I only have one oblique, but just ordered a straight and am waiting on a PIF straight and nibs that I won a few weeks ago. They're pretty cheap so get a couple and find the holder you like the best.
