guess you'll just have to learn spanish :lol::lol:

i honestly don't know, but suggest checking out seiko's site for support

Take it to a watchmaker and they can change it quickly and cheap. I had to have one switched If memory serves it cost me about $10

My Seiko Monster has both English and Spanish days, and when I "set" it to the right day, I get it to flip to the right day at the right time in English, from then on each day automatically advances in English. If you're setting it that way, unless the directions say to do it some other way, and it's still not working, take it to a watch repair person.

For the Mako - Use the pusher to set it to English. After midnight it will turn to Spanish first then to English... unless your Mako is defective, it will stay on English.

the day wheel jumps in 2 position increments,
and the wheel has 14 positions,
so its Monday -> Lunes -> Tuesday -> Martes -> Wensday -> Miercoles etc etc..
now the crown has 3 positions, Locked, Date and Time,
in the Seiko, you take it to the date position, turning the crown in one direction to set the numeric day of the month, and runing the crown in the other direction for the day, unless the day-date mechanism is defective, setting it to the day in english, will keel it in english as it jumps 2 positions per day, so setting it to monday means it jumpst over lunes and goes to tuesday, if you want to remove it totaly, well you cant becuase of how the watch movement is built, you can either get a seiko with a 7S25/7S36 which only has day of the month and lacks the day of the week indicator, or you can have the wheel replaced with a japanese one which has the same 2 language feature, but the 2nd language is Kenji japanese,

as for the mako, it should be similar, never had a orient,

Yeah, it's like that for all analog watches.
My trick is to set the day/date one before the current and advance to the current time
