I have received notes from Captain's Choice two or three times and once from another company that I can't recall. The Razor Company would sometimes throw in a car air freshener in Barber Shop scent. A little personal touch does make a difference.

Shannon's sent me a note and of course Cutlery Shoppe usually does and also sends pens, luggage tags, and candy.

It called letting the customer know the company appreciates the business, the note & effort to write, cost NEXT TO ZERO but Ink, Paper, and Time.

Sadly I categorize this as customer service, or just thanking the customer for being a customer. Today in the "WWW" World with Internet, Online Ordering, Got to have it yesterday mentality, and voice mail. Customer service, is in many businesses is ZERO.

NO BUSINESS can survive in business, unless you laundering money for some criminal enterprise, without the Customer. Yes Customer Service, and a Simple Thank you are big in my World.

Happy customers are repeat customers, tell friend good things about a business, and your cheapest way to advertise. JMHO

Which is why I like a lot of the smaller vendors. I’ve personally had Stirling reach out to me when there was an issue with a few of their soaps being mislabeled.
