Some nice shots from the Easter Festival

Headed out for the first day of the Easter Festival today and grabbed a couple of hood ornament shots of some 30s and 40s model Fords... there were a few others but I think these turned out the best of the batch so far (three more days of festival to go yet)

Plenty more practice to come over the weekend for sure, but pretty happy with these shots.

Those shots are very nice, thanks for sharing. Have you ever tried to shoot that sort of stuff with a polariser?

Wondered if anyone would pick up on that. I left the CPL on my 18-55 which I conveniently left out of my sling bag today

Hopefully there will be another opportunity this weekend and I won't be so forgetful :biggrin1:

I love old cars.

Might want to try a polarizer, but you may lose the flaring from the chrome. It's the flare that gives the photo it's vintage look. Split toning or just general color de-saturation works really well in processing shots of antiques.
