What's new

Some humor

The GF and I went to CVS last night, and she wanted a thing of water. I offered to help, but she said, "No, you go ahead and look at your shaving stuff, I got this". She's beginning to realize that this "hobby" is a big part of my life now. I found some humor in the fact that she knows me that well.

My wife finds it amusing. She makes a big show of inspecting my face after shaves and always comments when she sees me reading, "your Badger and Blade."

No matter how deep into razors and B&B I may get, I have SWMBO's ridiculous Farmville habit if I ever need to counter. She knows this... so, after more than a few years together, we've developed an understanding based on mutually assured destruction.

Detente, comrades, is not all that bad.

My lovely wife makes a big deal of telling friends and family that i take so long in the bathroom at night shaving. She proceedes to make them aware that i use soap and a brush and i have a special drawer full of blades and soaps, and that i clean my razor after each use. She says this in a poking fun way but i know she appreciates me taking a little time to refresh myself.I think she likes it ...shhhh

My wife figures it's a better midlife crisis than cars and younger women, and a better habit than excessive boozing or recreational chemical addiction, although she puts Lilac Vegetal in that last category.

Lifelong bachelorhood is its own punishment, I'll own. :bored: But it's not without its rewards! Never any of this ---> :a13:

Six axes and the blade count grows apace ... :w00t:

Well, Top, see it from her point of view. It's a real hassle to have HazMat show up at all hours whenever you put on the Veg.

(Still in high school) My siblings thing it's one of my hobby phases again--first it was online games, then pc building, now this. I may after all just have an AD and this is easier to fill.

My dad is indifferent and my mom only hates the fact that I keep spending money.

My wife has picked up a display for my razors, RAD ended for me and she tells me I need some more to fill up the display. To compliment it sheasked me about vintage Gillette ads and I told her the barbasol ones were the sexy ones and she said "ok, let's find some and frame them" :thumbup1:

I wonder if you're our youngest member.

I still hide my obsession from my fiancé pretty well. I really hope she never looks in the two dop kits under the sink though.

More likely, just the most outspoken. I joined the forums in high school, but only really started posting a few months ago. There's more of us here than y'all think :001_smile

I wish I knew because I wouldn't take so many posts with a grain of salt, assuming the taste different as a result of the age gap and feeling like having to form a style of my own.

And "y'all"? From a Bostonian?! I'm in Texas now and use y'all all too often and when we visit Boston (That's where I was born), me and my siblings are too often ridiculed for using "y'all"

My girlfriend bought me some MWF after I talked nonstop about it for a week or so. Quite a nice surprise. Although I doubt that she will be so supportive when I start spending lots and lots more money on shaving stuff. I recently was thinking of getting another straight, and she said "What? Why do you need another one?" She find this obsession cute...for now...

Small world: my dad's side of the family lives in Texas...which also helps explain the "y'all."

My wife went to the mall today and came back with a tube of CO Bigelow...didn't even have to ask for it. She does put her foot down with the scents though...she had a big objection to Aqua Vela and Old Spice.
