Soaps with Boar; creams with badger?

Do most people agree with the statement that if you wanna better lather with soaps you use boar hair, just like if you would like one with creams, you would use a badger?

I personally just like to use my badger with everything but then again I don't have an Omega. Maybe on my to get list.:001_tt2:

I use badger for soaps but have a Semogue 2000 coming and will likely use it exclusively until it gets nice and broken in, then I'm hoping to keep a nice mix.

I've found my old boar (nice brush but not very well packed) was USELESS for glycerin soaps (actually had me talking smack about some soaps that turned out to be really quite good, until I got my badgers and used them and realized how mistaken I had been), but handled tallow soaps pretty well, though my extra stuffed badger (and my black badger) are better than it with every soap I've tried.

No. I use each for both.

At the moment my rotation is a Rooney 3/1 and an Omega 81052, simply because they are my newest brushes and I'm trying to get a better feel for each of them. I'm using them with whatever suits my mood, but mostly MWF, PGST, Williams, TOBS sandalwood cream, and RSC cream. So on any given morning I might be lathering cream with boar, or soap with badger, or the other way around.

Im a badger man.

Im yet to use a boar (though I will admit, I havent tried heaps of them) that can compete with a good badger.

I use badger for both, but I really did like my Omega boar brush. The Semogue (1520) I wasn't crazy about, but after hearing many people say the same, I'm tempted to try another model.

I bet they can't compete with the Wee Scot though.
