Tabac whips up the best thick, slick lather EASILY, than all of the soaps (MWF, D.R. Harris, St.Charles ) in my rotation. Any soaps out there comparable to Tabac in this regard? My A.D. is kicking up again, I want to add a few more soaps into my rotation. I just put in an order for Mikes rose soap, and I would love a few more suggestions.

Speick is very similar in performance, but you will have to mill it into a dish if you want to use it as a soap. (It comes as a stick) That is what I do and I love it. That and Tabac are my goto soaps.
Irisch Moos stick. I can think of many others that come close.... but nothing else is quite comparable to Tabac.

I think vintage Old Spice is a lot like Tabac. The scent of OS is gone and left with a light soapy scent that is easy to lather, I enjoy them both very much.
Sir Irish Moos is identical in performance but with a fantastic green and fresh scent.
Irisch Moos! Get it while you still can.
Speick is nearly identical in formulation and performance. Irisch Moos, as others have said, is identical. Wish I could find 3-10 sticks.
Vintage Old Spice is the only soap I've tried that made me think, "Hey, this feels like Tabac. And smells better."
I am curious about how AOS tallow formula stacks up. From many testimonials, it is pretty good stuff.
The Moos stick was discontinued, sadly. You could take your chances on Ebay, or put a WTB thread on the BST here and see if anyone wants to part with one. Irisch Moos is the exact same formulation as Tabac, the fragrance is the only difference (both are made by Maurer and Wirtz), hence all the recommendations.
Speick actually performs a good bit better for me. And I love tabac. Speick is just the best shave soap I've bought.
It's gone, disappeared, nonexistent, vanished, done, no more, extinct.
IMO the lather produced from the Wilkinson sword shave stick (not the stuff in the bowl) is comparable to that of Tabac in slickness and protectiveness but it does not take care of my face as well as Tabac or Irisch Moos.
