soap in saskatchewan

so im stuck here in the middle of the prairies in canada.
does anyone know any retailers that carry a decent shaving soap that i would be able to get in saskatooon without having to order it on the internet?
thanks for the help!

Shopper's Drug Mart carries regular Proraso soap and Proraso Green Tea & Aloe. London Drugs carries William's and Wilkinson Sword. Also look for Nivea and Kiss My Face shaving creams.

thanks Luc, i didnt know about the wiki page. but when you mentioned it, i did look, but nothing is listed for SK.

Surely there must be a Penhaligons stockist in Regina... (Riders fan here.)

I would try Scott at Rasage Poulin in Calgary. Reputable. Good selection. Nice fellow.

The page would need to be populated a bit but you surely have some of those stores around you...

There must be a thread for Canadian shaving supplies...

I often use this one

But it might something that would need to be looked into...

+1

Shoppers Drug Mart is your friend (assuming you're considering creams too).
Not only is there the proraso stuff but there's the Nivea Extra Moisturizing shaving cream and Nivea lines as well as the Real Shaving Company creams.

In Ontario the Walmarts carry Williams and I think VDH shaving soap . . . might be the same in Sask. too.

Hello

I know Saskatoon is not Victoria, but it's not exactly that small either. You should have some luck at the following places:

- The Real Canadian Superstore
Wilkinson Sword shave soap in the blue bowl, other skin care goodies in the health food section.

- Pharmasave
Some outlets carry Crabtree & Evelyn, most carry VDH, etc.

Best of luck to you.

It used to be that any Canadian could find Florena shave cream easily on many store shelves ... now discontinued. If you had posted this a year or two ago, the conversation could begin and end with Florena.

"Nivea" shave cream has replaced Florena ... having not used the Nivea, I cannot say if it is the same stuff rebranded or a new formulation/product. But I'd say it's worth a go.

Also, the Florena people also make Kaloderma shave cream ... harder to find but try Safeway. Probably a good option.

(Yeah, you were asking about soaps, but since you will find nothing much other than lots of Williams and a bit of Proraso ... already mentioned ... I thought a moderate hijack was in order.)

Another one from Saskatoon. Good to see you abored. I use proraso green from shoppers drug mart. Check out london drugs for wilkinson sword. other than that that is all i have found

You're right about Florena.

The Nivea seems slightly different and i didn't like it as much as Florena. Then again it could all be in my head. I miss it. Now...the new Nivea "extra moisturizing" is really good and looks like it's replacing the original Nivea formula. I'm not big on the scent, but performs very well.

I didn't like the Kaloderma as much as the others, i didn't find it as slick as either Florena or Nivea.

Just curious -- why don't you want to use the internet? I understand the immediate gratification of going somewhere & actually buying your supplies. But if the local selection is limited (which indeed seems to be the case), the Internet is Your Friend. Why the hesitation?
