Recently, there was a post that opined that Soap was the winner. This post was based on an analysis of various posts. I thought we could run a poll and see what the B&B users have to say.
If you check my wiki, you'll see I have much more soaps than creams. I'm currently working through my creams just to finish them off. After that, Speick, Proraso green and Rose of Bulgari will be the only creams to come back into my den and will still be outnumbered by soaps.
Used to be all soaps for years, then discovered creams and went to all creams. Now I'm mostly creams but do have a couple of soaps in the mix. As I use up the creams I may add a few more soaps to move more to 50/50 breakdown.
I have only ever used soap in my whole 2 week shaving career so I guess I cant even vote but I am curious to hear the outcome. Would be interested in trying some creams.
Soaps are harder (think Tabac, MWF, etc) and creams are softer (Truefitt & Hill, TOBS, etc, these makers also do soap but I think they are better known for their creams), then you have "croaps" like the italian soft soaps (Cella, etc), stuff like Mike's & QCS cream, really more of a soft soap.
