It would be good for painting the living room, but not shaving. It has to be a display piece, or Andre the Giant's custom shave brush. Good find, though!

I bid about $150 to watch it. I figured it'd go between $250 and $500. Not surprised at all. If I knew enough about Plissons to be 100% sure it was EW or HMW hair, I'd have probably bid in the 200's, but still not enough to win it. My guess is high bidder bid $500+ and got lucky that the 2nd bidder would only go as high as 350.

Wow... That's about 15-17 TGN knots. That would take care of most of the handles I have in queue and then some!

This is classic YMMV, that handle doesn't do a thing for me, not even a twitch, even as a collectible.

Judging by the prices some people pay for shaving brushes, this one was a steal at $343, especially when you consider how much hair must be in that thing.

If it is HMW, the largest size Plisson makes (20, smaller than this), costs like $700... so yeah, relatively, this was a steal.
