So many great clothes. what to buy.

I know this is popular on other sites but I dont see any similar threads here so thought maybe we could give it a go. Hopefully we will discover some new brands/styles or get some ideas from this.


So you just found out that you won a competition at your local church and the prize is $1,500. But it has to be spent on clothes. What do you buy?




Personally my first stop would be my local tailor. At the moment he is given a great $800 deal on suits. I would be looking for something similar to this:




Next Id go and get a Ralph Lauren Worsted Pea Coat ($256.00)




Then 3 pairs of chinos ($100)





Ive really taken a shine to Dissedent Hoodies lately, especially in these colder months. ($50)




And some new shoes for work would be nice ($94)




Thats pretty much it for me. So lets hear from you guys. What would you get?

Imogene and Willie http://www.imogeneandwillie.com/ would probably be my only stop. I would get a new pair of jeans, a new shirt, and a new pair of White's boots. I think that would take care of about 1k of the budget. They also do short run items that are not pictured on the website so considering they have them in stock a pair of khakis and maybe a vintage belt would take care of the rest of the budget.

I've done a good job of replenishing my wardrobe this year thanks to EBay purchases of Allen Edmonds shoes and Zegna (suit, shirts and pants). If I had $1,500 to spend I would buy some vintage watches, starting with an Omega.
