Snus question

how strong is it generally? compared to american chew.

i couldnt handle chew, huge head rush and it was this cheap stuff that woudlnt stay packed in my lip so it was all over my mouth and i swallowed some of it by mistake cause it was some fine cute stuff that sucked haha, overall a bad experience.

but im interested in trying snus, and just wondering if it will give you that sickening head rush like some chew does.

It depends, each brand makes snus that's available in different strengths and it also depends on whether or not you're using portions or loose. The strength of the loose is also dependent on how much you're actually putting under your lip. I generally use portioned snus which comes in pouches so the nicotine dose is pretty consistent. Find a tobacco shop in your area that carries some General and give it a try.

I've heard people that use chewing tobacco or skoal say they hate snus juice. I've used both though and nearly puked with skoal and have actually SWALLOWED a whole snus pouch with little ill effects.

YMMV, but I believe snus is severely less nauseating, and tends to burn less, but definitely no less strong nicotine wise.The cleaner, safer way that snus is cured seems to cause a lot less stomach problems.

I suggest you try General original portion. It's a natural, pepper and bergamot flavor and not too strong, but not too weak.

As Mekler said, there are different strengths. In general, there's white portion, regular/original, and strong. I usually use General White Mint, and sometimes I'll pop in a strong, which gives me quite the nic rush. If you're not a regular tobacco user, the white portion will give you a rush and might sting your throat for the first week or so, but that goes away pretty quickly. YMMV.
