A while back I picked up a sample of Santa Maria Novella. Just today I got around to using it and was very impressed. Whats the story on this stuff? I have checked a few online retailers and none of them seem to sell the stuff.

Santa Maria Novella is made by the Ludovico Martelli company, manufacturer of Proraso, and sold (at least here in Italy) exclusively in the SMN Authorized Shops.
Thats very interesting because I thought its scent was similar to Proraso when I was lathering it up. I was very glad to get to try this SMN. It seems like fantastic stuff.
You can buy it from Lafco NY.
i'm wondering what, if any, of the current products compare to SMN? i know many say the old formula omega with lanolin was close.
is the new formula proraso green tub close? how about RR 888?
i'd love to buy a $60+ tub of it, but have a feeling i won't be in love with it like my MdC and someone had mentioned the paraben issue. many UK mfg's are removing them, so will the be reformulating the SMN in the future?
Also can get it at hangerproject.com. $52 and almost $10 shipping. Add it to your cart then enter askandy where it says Discount Code for 10% off. Texas residents also have 8.25% sales tax. Still the cheapest I've found.
