I was looking for a small Dopp kit for weekend trips. I stumbled upon an English brand called Otis Batterbee and ended up purchasing the "Small Waxed Grand Tour," (link) a kit made of waxed canvas with a waterproof lining.
I had never heard of the brand before. The kit is beautiful. It is made in England. It is the perfect size and looks very durable.
I had never owned anything made of waxed canvas before so I e-mailed the company about maintenance and cleaning. A few days later, I got an answer from Otis Batterbee himself! Among other things, he told me that the fabric used to make the kits is the same that Barbour uses to make its waterproof jackets.
