Slim vs Super Adjustable

I have a Slim and have been thinking about picking up a Super Adjustable. Do they shave about the same? Would I be better off trying something different than the Super Adjustable if I want a different razor? So far I have the Slim, a 55 flair tip SS, and a DE89.

In my opinion, the Super Adjustable provides for a smoother shave than the Slim. I like it the most out of the three Gillette Adjustables. :thumbup1:

I have used both Slim and the SA (long and short handle). I give the edge to the SA it just seemed to be smoother and nimble to me. The head geometry is identical to the Slim. Get one I don't think your gonna regret it.

Most of the pics of SAs that I've seen for sale look like the black is worn in spots. Does the black get worn through, or is it possibly from the flash of the camera?

As fare as my SA's it never got worn it had dings that showed gray. I saw on here were someone bleached the handle out with something like lime-away and man it looked cool. I like the super it feels better in the hand with the longer handle and I think it shaves better but that could be because of the long handle.

I have both a regular Slim and a SA with a long metal handle and non-plastic underside.

They're both great. I like the ergonomics of the SA better--the long handle is very pleasing and the "pitted" handle feels nice.

I would say that I think my Slim delivers a better, smoother shave overall.

If you're looking for a completely different kind of shave the SA is not the one to get. But if you like Slims and are looking for a nice Slim variant, the SA is a great alternative.

:thumbup1: I completely agree with this post!

Mine has some wear in the handle, but it in no way affects the performance of the razor.
