Skin food with what else?

I have just started to use the Geo F Trumpers skinfood sample that I received and so far I like the product. It is very soothing and calming. I personally find that I need something more with the skinfood though. Do most people do
1. Aftershave lotion and skinfood
2. Skinfood and balm
3. All 3.

When I use it, I also apply a aftershave splash.

In the winter my face simply can't take the skin food. So I only use it during the summer months or in hot weather.
I would normally just apply a good moisturiser on top of it and that should work.

My brother uses the sandalwood skin food. He applies one of 2 things, if he had a rough shave, he uses an alum block, then the skin food. If he had a good shave, no nicks or bleeding, he uses thayers witch hazel AS splash, then the skin food. He says he loves the stuff. I want to try it!
