Are there any good SE videos out there?
I tried my first shave with an Ever Ready and a Gem blade. I had to abort after 2 passes as I was getting weepers and it just felt rough. I reckon some visual guidance might help

The "rough" feeling is something I think is endemic to a SE shave, especially if you're used to more flexible DE blades. Once you learn to differentiate between the feeling of the sharp blade cutting hair and the feeling of a dull blade ripping hair, everything gets a lot smoother.

It's a weird feeling and difficult to aptly describe.

Make sure the razor is flat against your face to start. No steep angle like a DE.
