Simpsons M7 Manchurian (Ivory) SBAD

I went all in the other day and purchased a Simpsons M7 Manchurian in faux ivory. I read lots of great reviews on the M7 Manchurian and didn't want to miss out on the rare opportunity to acquire this alluring treasure. Considering that this was a huge purchase (definetly way way too much for a shaving brush), I am having some buyer's remorse. I was wondering if I should just try to resell it, return it, or keep it. Does anyone know how long this brush could potentially last if used on a regular basis? I am hoping it could last a lifetime (if I decide to keep it). I currently have a Simpson Colonel X2L and just purchased a Simpsons Chubby 2 Best (only used once). I thought I would be fine with these two brushes and maybe a good boar brush, but had a case of SBAD and splurged on the M7. If I decide to keep the M7 do you think that might be a foolish mistake? I need advice. Thanks.

Interesting to find out how you play this one Chap. What's done is done, use it, love it, loathe it.... It is a beauty no doubt but something I can no longer justify myself so I understand your feelings. Used in a rotation with your other two Simpsons, I'd reckon it will outlive your use of it.

If you can afford it, then keep it. If you cant, then sell it.

Those issues aside, in a rotation it will likely outlive you.

I suspect that when you get it, you will have no regrets....I don't, just the opposite. Look at it like this....if it kills your SBAD, it may be one of the most economical things you have done.

I think it's normally a bad call to buy something strictly because of allure, potential rarity, or limitedness --unless you're a collector or someone with the aim
of hording and reselling things, as a kind of investment of sorts.

The brush will last, but so will every other brush.

I think it makes far more sense to purchase things within the limitations of what you'd like to spend, do the research on what it is that you most desire in a brush,
and source the least expensive route of attainment.

The good news is that as long as B&B is thriving with members (who aren't currently on Sabbatical) you will be able to recoup your money on any Simpson brush.
