Simpson Shedding... Problem?

I'm a big Simpson fan - they make some great brushes. I don't altogether buy the idea that their brushes lose hairs more than most others because they are denser. I have had several Rooney Heritage brushes that are extraordinarily dense and they don't lose any bristles. Many Simpsons brushes but not all seem to lose some bristles. It seems to me that there must be more to it than just knot density. Perhaps the gluing is different or the tying, a different grade of bristle. I don't really know. I have used old Simpson brushes that don't lose any bristles even though the old glues were probably not as good as modern ones.

IMO a brush that loses more that about dozen bristles during break in and then stops is not really satisfactory.
