Shower Choice?

Are you a loofah and gel guy or a wash cloth and bar soap kind of guy. I change it up like with my shaving soap and aftershave. Which do you think is best? What products do you prefer?

I used to be a loofah and Old Spice gel guy, but now I am a Yardley bar soap guy with the occasional mix-in of Palmolive or a triple-milled soap I find at Marshalls/TJ Maxx. IMO, bars are better because they are cheaper (granted some triple milled are expensive, but they last months, so a better value than a bottle of gel), don't dry my skin as much and aren't geared toward the AXE fragrance bomb crowd.

I'm a loofah and gel guy since 2006 (blame it on the ex). i've used Olay, Old Spice, and for bout a year been using Bath & Body Works body wash for men, they had a 75% off sale so i stocked up. I think washcloth or loofah both do the same job....clean you. its just a personal preference. you can use gel in a washcloth too and get the same effect. one does not have to be used only with the other.

I use the lather builder thing (I remember Terry Crews saying it once) and shower gel lately I have really enjoyed the smell of the Old Spice Matterhorn. I usually pick up something different when I run low on a bottle. I haven't really be a bar guy for a while because it feels like it stuck to me when I'm done.

I'm a wash cloth, bristle body brush and Cetaphil Antibacterial bar soap kind of guy.

I'm fond of triple milled bar soaps. You can usually find a variety of decently priced ones at whole foods or the like. I enjoy the richness of the lather (almost like shaving soaps) and they last FOREVER. Make sure you choose a scent that you won't get bored of

Best bar soap I've tried, hands down, has been TOBS Sandalwood. It is absolutely divine. Highly recommended.

I use an Axe shower tool thing, as I found it is slightly better at building a latter. As far as gel I have a liter of Jack Black 3-in-1 wash for when I'm feeling frisky, Aveeno fragrance free for the daily (some of the best gel I've ever used) as well as a liter of acqua di gio body wash that sits in the corner alone.

Loofahs lather up better then wash clothes. I use soap AND bodywash, I use the bodywash on my nuts, arse and armpits and use soap everywhere else!!!

I prefer bars, specifically hand made soap bars like Mama Bears. They moisturize very well and have great scents. Also, you don't have to worry about recycling or tossing the plastic bottles so it is a little more earth friendly.

A loofah is not efficient with bar soap? Right now I have been using Dove shower tool for the past few years. I would like to upgrade though. Saw a lot of stuff at Whole Foods but not sure what to buy...so many different loofahs and cloths there.

I use to use bar soap but, my water is so hard it was actually plugging up my drain and I had to buy a plunger for the shower and use it monthly. I've switched to the Ivory body wash and one of those plastic mesh nets that are scrunched into a ball with a string for hanging. The Ivory is some awesome stuff.

Thanks sax an, I was thinking of trying TOBS soap, but since it was a bit more expensive I wAnted to hear about it first. How is its moisturizing properties?

Plastic mesh/net ball, and artisan handmade soaps. You can get an almost shaving lather like lather out of the combo. Just works great.
