Does this turtle live in your house?
Tourtoise livers in yard, Hibernates 6 months. Land animal Toutoise, not Turtle, water reptile.

A happy family.
The Tortoise is low maintance. Expressing is name, but moves slow.
When I was working in Southern (and very rural) Madagascar we had rescued an endangered tortoise and kept it in our fenced camp area (to prevent it from being eaten) and instructed the local skeleton staff to not eat the bloody thing.
Came back 6 months later and it had become soup apparently...
