Should I shave with a NOS tech or keep it unused?

In June I bought a NOS 40s gold ball end tech in its box for $11. Its been sitting in my drawer looking nice and Ive been debating whether or not I should shave with it. Its not perfect, the box is opened and worn, and the razor looks unused but isnt immaculate. Id say it looks great but isnt a museum piece. Im not sure if I should leave it be or give it a go.

So, what you all think, should I pop its cherry?

If it isn't immaculate, it possibly isn't NOS anyhow, just very very nice.

We're talking about the most humble of the modern day Gillette razors here, of which there are millions, anyhow.

Use it. Techs are so plentiful that even NOS specimens don't command high dollar values. Their value lies in the enjoyment of shaving with them.

+1 for all the shaving love when it comes to the gold ball end techs! Throw in the sharpest blade you have in the den and try not to smile to much during the shave

Definitely use it!! The Tech is one of the best razors ever made. It shaves wonderful, and is so simplistic in design, that they will last many lifetimes.

I didnt shave this morning because I was lazy. Tomorrow should be a good day since ive got some real stubble to mow through. Theres only one problem - I also just got a 40s aristocrat!

So, im afraid that this tech will have to wait just a little bit longer! Whats a couple days when its been sitting for decades, right?

I found what a good shaver Tech is, belonged to my uncle I think and is in a perfect condition.
If you have a NOS tech, then sure brake it from its virgin condition.
