Should I have bought 'em?

Went to a large monthly flea market yesterday...a few minor finds, razor wise, but what's stuck in my mind is something I passed up: a still-in-box tube of Palmolive shave cream (still "fluid," not dried up), and ditto a nearly full tube of Williams shave cream. Both go way back, but I couldn't tell just how far. Probably could have gotten them for a buck each, if that.

If I change my mind they'll probably still be there next month...since they both appeared usable, would you have rolled the dice on them?

Better to buy vintage tallow shaving soap, like Yardley.

If I ever see any on my rounds I will, but I never have seen vintage soap. Not even Old Spice.

I did open the Williams tube, btw - pearly white and no growth that I could see.

For the money, why not?

Worse case, they are too funky to use, and for a couple bones you have some sweet decorations for the shave cave.

That's what I'm thinking now, but at the time the words radium and asbestos were going through my head, so I passed. Stupid, I know.

For two bucks I probably would have picked them up, worth a shot I'd say!
