How many blends do you currently have open, and how many bings/bricks/tuos do you have sealed for future use?

A quick check revealed that I have 30 open and 27 sealed products, mostly sheng. What are you guys sporting?

This thread is off limits to professional sellers, the criminally insane, Hobbes and anyone whose collection will make me sick. :wink2:

I try and defocus my eyes when I open the tea cabinet so I don't freak out how many cakes are stacked up, so I don't know the exact amount. I can tell you that all but 1 or two cakes are opened, though.

I feel better seeing that folks have most of their stuff open. I guess I'm still stuck in that wine mentality, where you can't exactly pop the cork, take a sniff, and replace it. I suppose that since I'll probably never part with a cake (other than to provide samples), let alone sell anything, there's no harm in opening everything that's not a dupe.

Still, there's just something about a stack of pristine, unopened bings..... :tongue_sm

And okay, Hobbes, you can chime in now.

Woo.

I have at least one cake open of every type, you need to drink something! If you can keep the remainder in their tong wrappers, that's probably for the best. My usual system is to put one open cake on the top of a tong so that I can drink it, and remind me what's in the tong.

Unlike wine, you can rewrap bingcha quite well and it shouldn't suffer. You only need to start thinking about sealing it in plastic when it has completely aged, and that's going to be quite a while... :ihih:
