Shelf life for shaving cream, soap, aftershave, ect.

I've seen many pictures on here of massive collections of shaving tools, supplies, equipment. And im envious. but that got me thinking....does all that stuff have an expiration date?

i'd like to amass a nice collection of shave creams, soaps, aftershaves, pre-oils, ya know the works. just so i dont have to use the same thing every time i shave. i think it would be nice to change up the scents, combine scents, combine different shave creams with different razor blades...just experiment. but i know if i develop a nice collection it may take years for me to use a whole tube of shave cream or a whole bottle of aftershave. how long will this stuff last!? is it worth having a lot of variety if its just gonna "go bad" after a year or so?

its becoming a hobby of mine...shaving. but is this hobby gonna be a waste!?

I have stuff that is years old, and it's fine. The creams can dry out, so they turn into more of a soap.
